Park Walk

Park Walk is a social and environmental mapping project, engaging aspects of trail orientation and activities, nature identification, historical insight and bio-regional mapping, deployed on GPS enabled mobile devices. Over time, with the addition of com- munity members and visitors own experiences of the sites, and in conjunction with a website holding uploads and downloads of user-generated narrative layers, the project will build on the community association of meaning with place. The Park Walk Project is part of the Mobile Digital Commons Network, and is currently being developed for Toronto's Grange Park, Spring Creek Trail in High Park, and the Hoodoos Trail in Banff National Park.
